Sports Medicine Research Scholar Program in Orthopaedic Surgery

Responsibilities of the clinical scholar include participating in and managing multiple active investigations, initiation, submission and maintenance of IRBs with the help of an IRB specialist, as well as preparation and completion of multiple manuscripts and submission to local, national and international conferences. Prior research participation, writing and statistical expertise is preferred, but not required. Clinical scholars can be expected to publish multiple manuscripts, while also attending and presenting at national meetings. The Sports division will also assist applicants in making strong connections to help aid and strengthen a student’s application for Orthopaedic surgery residency. Additional benefits include 3 weeks of vacation, funding for travel to the annual AAOS meeting and support to present accepted research at meetings.

Eligibility:

  • US Medical students between 3rd and 4th Years
  • US Medical school graduates
  • Please note: Visa support is not available for this program, as such no international applicants will be considered

Stipends and Benefits:

Clinical scholar will receive an annual living stipend of $26,660/@2,221.67/month. No additional benefits are provided.
