Stipend: $52,000 annual + benefit/vacation package + bonus based on performance

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop research ideas, review literature, and design studies.
  2. Work with hospital researchers and IRB staff to receive IRB approval.
  3. Collect, clean, and analyze data (databases: EMR, MarketScan, Patient IQ, etc.).
  4. Write and create manuscripts, posters, and presentations.
  5. Facilitate manuscript submissions.
  6. Present abstracts, posters, presentations; representing NEBH at local/regional/national conferences.
  7. Participate in regular research meetings with attendings and fellows.
  8. Supervise and coordinate undergraduate-level research volunteers.
  9. Maintain research relationships with partnering institutions and attendings.
  10. Other duties assigned by the OCA chair.

Qualifications:

  • Motivated medical school graduate seeking a career in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Previous research experience required.
  • Self-starter as well as a team player.
  • Strong work ethics and communication skills
  • Experience with SAS software preferred
  • Experience with large database study preferred.
