Position Title: Clinical Research Coordinator
Duration: 1 Year
Candidates: US Medical Students between M3/M4 interested in Orthopedic Surgery.
Location: Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University Medical Center, Division of Spine Surgery and Musculoskeletal Oncology, Chicago, IL.
Start Date: Beginning May/June 2021
Salary: Monthly stipend provided
Research Fellow Responsibilities:
- Coordination of all prospective, retrospective, and biomechanical studies
- Consenting of study patients following good clinical and ethical practice
- Submission of study protocols to the Rush Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Statistical analysis of data
- Manuscript writing, editing, and submission
- Oversight of research assistants
Prerequisites and Characteristics for consideration:
- Strong motivation to pursue a career in Orthopaedic surgery
- Proven interest in research
- Strong academic record
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented
- Knowledge of statistical principles and familiarity with statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, others)
