JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare, renew, and/or manage IRB applications in a timely fashion ensuring no lapses in approval
- Participate in the writing and preparation of manuscripts for publishing
- Recruit and enroll subjects in clinical trials
- Data entry onto paper CRFs, eCRFs, EDCs, REDCap, etc.
- Coordinate study follow-up visits for clinical trial subjects and ensure patients complete patient reported outcomes as required
- Write research grants, protocols, and consent forms
- Collaborate with residents and fellows on investigator-initiated research projects
- Assist PIs in administrative duties including academic presentations, editorial commitments, and conference participation
- Statistical analysis of project data utilizing SPSS
- Work closely with CRAs during study monitoring visits and assist with internal audits
- Attend weekly research meetings and update research team on project statuses
- Work closely with research team including research manager and administrative director to ensure patient safety and identify any potential issues that do not adhere to research standards
- Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced orthopaedic practice

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a minimum of a one-year commitment, but special consideration will go to those who can dedicate two-years. Those with a medical degree from a US institution, and who are in between applying to residency are strongly encouraged to apply. Knowledge of orthopaedic and/or rheumatologic terminology is a plus. Experience using EMRs is preferred. Job begin date is Spring 2019 (January/February start).
