Mentor: Harpal S. Khanuja M.D. Chief of Hip and Knee Replacement, Johns Hopkins University. Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, JHU Bayview Medical Center. Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery

Location: Johns Hopkins University, Bayview Campus

Dates: 1 year, June 2016 through June 2017 (dates are flexible)

Prerequisites:

  • Motivated medical student dedicated to pursuing orthopaedic surgery
  • Research experience
  • Self-management and organizational skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong academic record

Goals and Responsibilities: The research fellow will have the opportunity to conduct several research projects, ultimately leading to numerous publications, abstracts, and presentations at national orthopaedic conferences. He/she will also have the opportunity to meet and work with several of the Hopkins orthopaedic staff and residents and will participate in weekly grand rounds and journal clubs. This experience will undoubtedly strengthen the applicants candidacy for orthopaedic surgery residency programs.
