Instratek, a privately held medical device company focused on minimally invasive endoscopic surgery and extremity implants, announced the domestic launch of the HammerFIT Extremity Reamer System for hammertoe surgery.
HammerFIT is a sterile, single-use reaming system that contains cup and cone bone reamers which are used to create convex and concave surfaces during hammertoe surgery. Once the reamers have been used to resurface the bones of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint, the surgeon may use their arthrodesis implant of choice. Utilizing cup and cone reamers aids in fusion by maximising bony contact surface area. HammerFIT reamers may be used for all hammertoe procedures regardless of implant choice.
