Accreditation

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA/PRA

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Inc. designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Activity Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe contemporary scientific findings relevant to general orthopaedic surgeons and orthopaedic subspecialists.
  • Identify various strategies to improve patient care through review of a wide range of topics in orthopaedics and its major subspecialty areas.
  • Apply advances in orthopaedic techniques and technology.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)

The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery has approved the JBJS Quarterly CME Examination as a self-assessment activity (SAE). Each credit claimed by the learner will help fulfill the MOC requirement of 20 SAE credits per three-year cycle. Learners who successfully complete a Quarterly CME activity may apply 5 credits toward MOC SAE requirements.
