Our dean just informed us that all residency programs at UCSF will require both step 2 CK and CS to be passed/reported for applicants to be listed on their rank list. Thought this might be important info for people planning their 4th years. My dean said they weren't sure what other institutions would follow their lead.

How confident are you in this information? Are you a UCSF medical student? Thanks for clarifying.

I'm not a student at UCSF, but I'm at a large institution who has advised their students that if they are going to apply to UCSF in any program to take STEP2 early. It came directly from our dean of students.
