It's time a thread was started to address the specific topic of post-interview "activity" and what different programs are known to do. Which programs really "want" to get a thank-you letter? Whic programs need you to come for a second-look in order for you to match there? Which programs don't care? Which send letters? Who makes calls? etc...

Facts are good. Rumors are fine. Let's hear it all.

I interviewed at UK and I did not receive an e-mail. Actually, I have not received any e-mails, phone calls, or other hints from any programs. I guess I am sh%t out of luck.

1) When do they send out?
2) Do they send to everyone who interviewed?

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe HSS is not sending letters anymore. Although they have definitely done it in the past, nobody I talked to confirmed they are sending them out this year. And if they were going to, wouldn't they have already sent them at this point?

Any thoughts anyone???

from my knowledge, i think they are sending letters this year. they come snail mail, and i think all interviewers get it.

Dr. Riley Williams has been calling people who are ranked to match-letters will also be sent out and should be en route as we speak. Hope that helps facilitate peoples final decisions....

Hate to cause a wild frenzy-I was just relaying what I had heard from a couple of people I know at the program. Obviously Jointdoc and I know different people that have different knowledge of where they stand on the rank list. Good luck to all...
