Just wanted to let those waiting on Mt Sinai swaps know that the email sent to people on the waitlist said that they would keep the waitlist moving until Dec. 15. So, if you know you're probably going to cancel - if you could make your decision before then, you'd be heartily appreciated by your fellow ortho-wannabes.

On a somewhat related note... Did anyone receive a flat-out rejection from Sinai or did everyone get the "We will retain your application in our files to review for future openings" e-mail?

That's ridiculous! Seriously you're hurting other people chances. Man up it's crunch time. Cancel your conflicts and let the spots be filled by other people who need/want them but can make it.

Come on man! Posts like this are unnecessary. Just like OBetty is willing to pay $500 to keep it, I'm sure there are people, including you from the sound of it, who would be willing to pay more than that to get an interview spot. This is how the process works. Does it suck? Yes. But posts like yours doesn't change things. These people are your potential colleagues. Maybe you should start treating them like it.
