read recently that 2% of ortho residents are IMG's, which is actually higher than i thought. 8.3% women, just for comparison. if i were a program director (god help us all), and i was able to set aside any img bias, you would be the type that i would be looking for. pretty solid credentials on paper. i think we can all relate to chasing the elusive dream career, so certainly don't let anyone dissuade you. apply and keep us posted - the spots are out there.
