M3 student, originally from Caribbean MD school, transferred to US MD school :woohoo:
-Step 1: 239
-Step 2: Will be reported before Sept 15
-Honor society at Caribbean school, not assuming I'll make AOA
-Clinicals: Honor in Surgery, Pass in IM, FM, OB (no HP at my school, recently changed grading scale, so everyone is getting screwed)
-Research: Extensive research in undergrad, 2 abstracts/presentations at GI conferences, 1 published case report, 1 ortho specific case report submitted.
-Volunteering: school tutoring in path and micro, worked at homeless clinic for 2 years

-4 ortho away rotations accepted and scheduled in the Midwest
-Ortho LOR's from School ortho director, and school ortho asst prof so far

Obviously I know my step 1 is a few points below avg, and Im not planning on receiving interviews from top programs. Just looking for an average program in the Midwest.
Thoughts? Programs to consider?
