Sublets for Away rotations 2007

Thought it would be a good idea for us to exchange info about anyone planning to sublet their apartment or looking to sublet during aways this summer/fall. I am considering subletting in Atlanta while away on my aways so anyone doing electives at AMC or Emory u can pm me.

Glad you started the thread, I was thinking of doing the same because I am doing aways in NY and it is definitely going to be expensive...
I am doing aways in Manhattan in July, Aug, and possibly Oct-in August will be up near Columbia, otherwise looking for a midtownish place
I am willing to sublet my apt in Houston for any of those months, it's small but really close to the Texas Medical Center. PM me if you're rotating at Baylor or UT-Houston and are interested.

I am looking for a place to stay in Los Angeles (have USC rotation) for 4 weeks starting October 1. Willing to sublet or rent xtra bedroom/sleeper sofa/whatever!

I thought craigslist was always a great resource to find short term housing on short notice.

You're right, craigslist is good; I actuallly used it to get an apt for NYC for July. But, it takes a lot of culling through stuff to find something that works well for a med student (location, price, etc) And for subletting my own place, I'd much rather rent to someone who's doing ortho call and has less time to throw parties in my apt, making all the neighbors mad [/quote]
