I went to medical school there, and UT-Houston is on probation basically for operating too much/lack of staff. The program is very trauma heavy and there simply is not enough faculty to cover all the cases. Upper Level residents are often left to operate alone. They are working on getting more staff and will probably have a few new guys in the coming months. You wont find a better operative experience any where in the country, the probabtion wont be an issue!!!
