I've heard Drs. Simon and Peabody (both tumor) are great resident advocates. Smaller program (4/yr), so lots of individual attention. Although U of C's rep is built on research, I've heard from a resident there that it is not mandatory. In fact, he opted to do an extra trauma rotation in place of the 3 month research block. This may tell you something though as it is a level 2 trauma center. I'm going there next month so I'll let you know more when I get there.
