hi fellow orthopods... this is my first post here. I have an interview conflict and I could use your help in resolving. I received a 1st round interview offer from St. Mary's back in December. Just yesterday, I received a phone call from the UMDNJ-Newark coordinator with an interview offer on the same day, presumably following a cancellation. I don't know much about either program, and was hoping to get some insight. I have an equal number of interviews in the northeast and west coast, and few enough that these two programs could be potentially high on my rank list. I'm looking for a program with 6 or fewer residents, a collegial atmosphere between attendings/residents, reasonable exposure to trauma, early operative experience, and proximity to a big city. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Don't know about UMDNJ, but St. Mary's meets your criteria.

A friend of mine is an intern up at Newark and loves it. Per him, it meets all of your criteria.
