I read an article today about the Steadman/Hawkins clinic in Vail, and I've heard about the Kerlan/Jobes clinic in LA. Are there other big name places that pull in patients from all over? Do you think there's something special about these clinics other than their reputation? How does being a "big time" doc at one of these clinics compare to being a "big time" academic as far as your peers (or patients) are concerned?
