Thought I'd start a thread to help all us applicants out. If any of the programs to which you are applying have special requirements - such as undergrad tanscript, 3 letters ONLY, or whatever - post them here.

I'll start:

Iowa and UCSD both want an undergrad transcript.

and...

UCLA wants MCAT scores in text of application
UNC wants MCAT and SAT scores.

I believe for both of these programs, the scores can simply be written (by us) into the ERAS app. sick.

Here's a related question for those whom have already applied: if a program wants our MCAT/SAT/ACT included in our personal statement, can we just add a line at the bottom of our form with that information, i.e.:

I love sports and orthopaedics, etc., etc. The end.
MCAT: 43R (15, 15, 13)
SAT: 1600
ISTEPs: Analagies--99th %tile, Memory--98th %tile, Algebra--99

You think this is frustrating....during some of my interviews I had other applicants stare blankly at me about these "special" requirements. This happened more than once. I would make a comment in passing about it being ridiculous that the program we were interviewing at needed our MCAT scores and they would say "really?" (because they never sent anything in). Also, one of my friends was applying at the same time as me and got an interview from a place requiring "special" forms (of which he had done none) while I was negged even after going to all of the trouble to get the damned things filled out by every letter writer. Can you tell that even five years later this still pisses me off??!! Long and short of this post is that you have to jump through the hoops, but don't think for a second that these hoops exist for all applicants. Good luck this year.

I sent an email to Med Col of Virginia. Just want to make clear that the "autobiography" that they want is your PERSONAL STATEMENT. It's not an extra hoop to jump through. Thank God.

By the way, I filled out UVA's supplemental. I didn't realize till after I sent it that I misspelled a word. Good thing they don't actually read these things right? RIGHT???
