second look for programs

I see that could be a point in who to select for interviews...but once you've gotten that far, I really don't think it's obligatory. If it was, maybe that's just not a program one would need to consider, and most rank lists would be pretty short...I haven't heard of a single person doing second looks.

Which places in particular are you referring to? Asking because I haven't done any second looks.

some places (especially community programs) will NOT rank you if you didn't rotate there or come back for a second look
