Looking for housing for OHSU elective 9/22-10/17. Any offers or advice on where to look would be appreciated.

Also, any advice from past rotators about the rotation, structure, things you wish you had known ahead of time, advice about portland-- they would be much appreciated as well!

There's an R3 resident at OHSU who had a spare bedroom in a house basically on the med campus last year. You can walk to the hospital in 2 minutes. I don't want to post his name in the interest of his privacy but I'd call the ortho coordinator at OHSU and ask her if there is a housing rental list--maybe mention you know some of the residents sometimes have space. I think her name is Pamela Fiedelson. The rotation there is really enjoyable--you'll probably end up doing at least a week on spine since they assume you want face time with the program director, Yoo, and the residency director, both of whom are spine guys. The call schedule is q4 I think and at least when I was there it was pretty mellow for a level 1 trauma center. PM me if you want any more details.
