If anyone has any knowlegde regarding Mount Sinai's current financial difficulties, could you please shed some light on it. Specifically, does it affect the residency program in any way and is it a bad idea to do your residency there now? Thanks for all your help with this site-

I assume that this question was prompted by the recent article in the NY Times?



The financial problems are definitely concerning, but it appears that the hospital is on the right track to recovery. Thankfully, the Ortho department has maintained its great faculty while consistenly getting stronger. As a resident at Sinai, I still think that it is a great place to train.
