Anyone have any info on rotating at Columbia? How receptive are they to visiting students? Does it give you a much better chance at matching there? I am going to do 2 visiting rotations in the NY/NJ area, and I dont want to be wasting my time. Are they real strict with numbers, or are they more the "best fit" type of program?

They seemed receptive to having students the year I rotated, and I think maybe 3 students matched there who were rotators. But they do have a lot of students rotate, and can only take so many each year.

The residency director, Dr. Levine, is a nice guy who posts on this board sometimes. Maybe he can answer your question best regarding numbers.
