I have to schedule my sub-i for next year and I'm wondering when is about the last month you guys recommend doing an away rotation for the upcoming interview season. Since many programs are giving out interview invites around this time, is Sept the last month I should look at aways?

I would recommend doing aways in July, August, and only September if needed. Anything later makes it very difficult to get LORs done on a timely fashion.

I agree. Gotta letter my first week of an away in Sept and it didnt get in till about 3 weeks ago. Not cool. Most people do a home rotation in July or August then rock out 2 aways right after. Trust me, 3 in a row will wear you out.

If you're not looking for a letter, then you could push it tro october, or even november at some programs.
