hello,
just wanted to see if anyone has the insiders tip on Greenvilles program. Rotated there? interviewed there? no someone who did? have any thoughts? strong vs weak? stable vs in transition? ever had any minorities there? how residents do afterwards as far as fellowhips?

Thanks in advance.

I had them 2nd on my rank list. They were strong overall and the group of residents and attendings seemed great. If you like peds, Im sure you'd like it even more. I dont, and I still had it 2nd. The city was fun - I spent 6 days there during the interview trail as a mini-vacation.

They get fellowships no problem, but I think students dont understand - fellowships are like getting into FP or medicine - you can get in. Most places will set you up with getting the top few fellowships without a problem. Sports may be a bit tougher, and hand is getting up there too.

I dont really care about the minority issue, as overall, who cares if they have had minorities before - it doesnt have any effect on the program/residents and even applicants. I dont see how that has any relevance to whether a program is desirable or not.
