I just got my Step 1 score back and it was a 221. I go to a top 10 school, I have 2 ortho research publications (possibly will have 3 more before I apply) as well as an abstract presentation at a conference. I was an All American in a sport at a division 1 college. I am most likely not going to get AOA (just being realistic). What are my chances of getting into a decent ortho program (or any program at all)? Also, any specific advice on what I need to do the next year and a half to stand out and better my chances? Thanks!

take step 2 early (right after 3rd year), keep doing research, and wow people at your home + away programs. that's the formula.
