Get a solid score and transfer out- your chances will improve significantly. I started off in the Caribbean and then decided on ortho. I realized that my chances were slim to none so I applied to transfer into an LCME school and was accepted. I matched this year and doubt I would have had I stayed in the Caribbean.

Congratulations Basupra! I remember reading your blog years ago, and it's great to now hear where you ended up after you transferred.

Reading your blog was what made me decide to reapply to US MD schools and I got into half a dozen schools on my second attempt. I had what I thought was a not salvageable GPA. So I thank you for that.
