Authors of Orthopaedic literature

The University of Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Journal (UPOJ) is an annual peer-reviewed orthopaedic journal organized and distributed by the residents of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Our mission is to reflect upon the preceding academic year by publishing high-quality original research articles from around the country and hosting round-table forums discussing current controversial topics in Orthopaedic Surgery. We are proud to announce that the Journal is entering it’s 19th year in publication with a circulation
volume of approximately 2,000.

We are currently accepting manuscripts for consideration of publication in the upcoming spring issue of UPOJ for 2009. Articles including original clinical papers, basic science articles, tips and techniques, case reports, or review articles are welcome for consideration. Although UPOJ is peer-reviewed, submission and acceptance of an article to UPOJ does not preclude you from submitting a manuscript to another journal
for consideration of publication. Please view our website to access previous issues of UPOJ at .

Manuscripts can be submitted electronically to upoj09@gmail.com. The
instructions to authors are located on our website. The UPOJ editorial staff will review all published manuscripts. The deadline for submission is December 1st, 2008, with an expected date of publication of June, 2009.

Please feel free to share this invitation to submit an article(s) to UPOJ with fellow faculty members and residents from your program. We look forward to hearing from you for another exciting year with the Journal.

Kindest regards,

Keith Baldwin and Surena Namdari
