I am applying to Ortho this year and scheduled to take Step 2 at the end of Dec 2003.

Will my score matter?

Will residency programs ask for my score, since it will return late Jan 2004, prior to match? I did click on "do not release my score" on ERAS.

Will residency programs know when I took the exam?

Just a little confused... wondering if I should push my test or not. thanks everyone.

Take the test as scheduled. Since the results won't be back until well into January, you can always respond that you have taken the test but don't have a score yet. The ONLY time that Step II will come up is in the interview (and that was only in one of my interviews). The LAST thing you want to be doing in the spring is studying for Step II!!!
