Hi, so I had Step 2 all set to go in late July and then got seriously delayed in studying due to personal/family issues. Its pushed back to September 18th currently... is this too late to have my score be considered in interview invites? It looks like I can move it up as early as Sept. 6th... will that make any difference?

Thanks ya'll

A handful of programs send out interview invites in October, most wait until November or December. Some programs do not send invites until January.

Exams taken then will get scores back on October 6 according to the NBME website. Since I'm taking it during that same period of time I actually had the same question and was told that my Step 2 score would still be taken into consideration for interviews, but I'd also like to hear from some people just about when most invites came in. Based on reading a bunch of program websites it looks like it was common to get invites as late as Thanksgiving, but if we submit right away on Sept 1 who knows....
