I realize this is a very specific question, but I'm just wondering if anyone out there has experience with the 4 NC programs (Duke, UNC, Carolinas, Wake Forest) or has recently interviewed with any of them? I'm in the middle of my 3rd year of med school, so I'm just starting to think about where I want to go (and I will apply to aways soon). NC is ultimately where I'd like to end up, in an ideal situation.
What are the generalizations that are commonly made about the 4 NC programs? Which are smaller/bigger? Competitive/less competitive? More OR time vs more research? Better known for fellowship placement?
