Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Research Fellowship

The International Center for Limb Lengthening, Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics invites current medical students and graduates to apply for a funded, one or two-year clinical research fellowship for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This fellowship is designed to prepare the next generation of orthopedic surgeons by offering an immersive experience that integrates research, clinical exposure, and mentorship. It is ideal for medical students between their third and fourth years or for MD/DO graduates pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery. International medical students/graduates who do not require visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Experience in Manuscript Drafting/Statistical Analysis is a Plus. Applicants are currently being accepted on an ongoing basis.
Program Overview: Fellows will engage in a variety of research projects addressing critical topics in limb length discrepancy, congenital deficiencies, rehabilitation, patient safety, healthcare quality and value, and other orthopedic subspecialties. Research is complemented by direct mentorship, with fellow meeting Dr. McClure multiple times per week to ensure guidance and support.
The program also offers substantial clinical exposure. Fellow is allowed to participate in daily morning conferences of our residency program and has observation opportunities to work closely with Dr. McClure and colleagues, residents, and clinical fellows in both the clinic and operating room settings.
