UCSF IGOT McClellan International Research Fellowship

Hot
Updated

The Institute for Global Orthopaedics and Traumatology (IGOT) at the University of California, San Francisco offers a global health year-out research opportunity for a third or fourth-year medical student who is interested in orthopaedic surgery and global health.

IGOT's Morgan and Madison McClellan International Research Fellowship is a competitive paid program which allows a medical student to be exposed to hands-on experience in conducting orthopaedic research globally. This ten-month fellowship incorporates projects with our partnering affiliates as well as a structured curriculum reviewing the various processes in conducting clinical research. The fellow is involved in IGOT's programs and will have specific responsibilities based on the needs and objectives at the time of fellowship. Based at the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute (OTI) at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, the fellow's travel is determined by the project and global partner needs (and in compliance with UCSF travel policy). Past research projects have been conducted on-site across African or Latin American sites. For more information on the program and application, please click on the link: https://orthosurgery.ucsf.edu/outreach/global/igot_research. The application deadline is February 1, 2024.
