Research Assistant Position - Stanford Ortho Lab

We are seeking a research assistant to join our busy orthopaedics research lab. The position is part-time (10-20 hrs a week, depending on commitment) and located in Redwood City, CA. This is a great position for individuals taking a gap year or two between undergrad and a professional degree program

Duties:

  • Assist with development research protocol
  • Conduct systematic and literature reviews
  • Assist with recruitment of research participants
  • Assist in production of questionnaires
  • Assist with collection of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Assist with qualitative and quantitative analysis of data
  • Assist with preparation of manuscripts for academic submission
  • Manage and maintain data
  • Interact with research team (PI and CRC), ensuring adherence to proper study conduct

Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree in a science related field

Desired qualifications:

  • Past Research experience
  • Statistical Skills, programming or coding experience
  • Interest in medicine, healthcare, or health policy as a career

About us: Our research lab focuses on health policy research in the field of orthopaedics. We study a variety of topics, including: cost, quality, value, shared decision making, patient preferences, and patient reported outcome measures using a variety of methods. We conduct in-clinic quantitative and qualitative research, as well is big data research, consumer research, kinematics, etc.
