When do most people hear back from the programs they applied to for aways via VSAS? Have most people already heard from the schools, or are applications still pending?

I heard back from USF on May 26th and Mount Sinai on April 27th. THose were the only two applications I had done through VSAS.

I heard from University of Chicago on June 1st. I didn't use VSAS for my other rotation. Anybody else going to UC?

Heard back from Sinai and Montefiore towards the end of April. Those were applications for July/August spots though so I can't comment on whether September/October applicants have heard back yet.

Columbia was one of the original alpha sites for VSAS but because of a number of factors our Dean's Office elected to discontinue further collaboration with VSAS this year and moving forward. For anyone interested in applying for a subinternship to Columbia we are still happy to consider your application - you can submit online through the Dean's Office and hopefully it will be even smoother than VSAS.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding subinternships --

Good luck as always --

i am thinking of doing a rotation at columbia, i was thinking it may be too late to apply... their website says that their rotations begin on the first day/weekday of the month, does anyone know if this means it is literally the 1st day (even if its like a thursday), or if its the week with 1st in it? my school has a strict schedule thats hard to get off of, any info would help.

We work with students to coordinate their rotations - do not worry about the exact start and stop dates.
