Does anyone know how many spots were not filled this year? Where are they?

only folks that did not match have access to the list of unfilled programs at this point. i'm sure they are a little busy scrambling right now. this info will come to light in the very near future when those stats are released to the general public.

Hmm... just left our medical affairs office and flipped through the list of unmatched programs. I can't believe I've already forgotten where the one US program was (I'm thinking somewhere in Michigan???), definitely not Wisconsin again. However, there were 4 unfilled spots in Puerto Rico, so if you like pina coladas... I'm being totally serious - there was one US program and 4 spots at 1 program in PR.

University of Missouri-Columbia was the program that didn't fill - 0/1
Puerto Rico was 0/4

The quota of 1 position for Missouri's open spot suggests that the unfilled spot is the 6yr research track, not the traditional 5yr track for anyone interested.

My guess is that's MU's 6 year position....actually, if it says 0/1, then it has to be b/c they only offer one 6 year spot and 2 or 3 5 years (can't remember which). I'm sure somebody has scrambled into that spot by now.......it's a cool town to live in, and I think that program will be pretty solid in the next several years.......

Hey bud, long time no talk... congrats on matching. Good thing you didn't have to scramble... you're too damn slow to have worked it out. Also, I haven't forgotten that I owe you a brew.
