RE: Ochsner and John Peter Smith. Anybody rotate or interview at these two? If so, was it a good experience?

I'm looking for a community program in the South/Southwest (if there are others I should look out for please mention it). I'm scheduling my aways right now.

Are these programs pretty regional? Prefer rotators? More/less competitive? Any info appreciated.

If you are looking for community programs, look hard at Charlotte and Greenville, also look at Atlanta Medical Center (although I know nothing about it) and also consider UT-Chattanooga. I know UT-Chatty sounds like an academic program, but its really a nice blend of an academic setting with community program rotations. ):)

I interviewed at JPS and really liked it. It's pretty high on my rank list. Two more I would recommend looking at are Scott and White and Wichita. Scott and White is a nice blend of academic and community. Wichita isn't that far north (5 1/2 hrs from Dallas), and is also a good program. :smokin:
