Ok, there should be a thread for these too (why should interviewees have all the fun).

Indiana via snail mail: offered no dates and told me to go fellate myself.

My wife is going to be soooo happy we don't have to move to Indiana.

Got a quick question for the rejection files: conventional wisedom says that residencies consider you more strongly if you have a REASON to live/move there. HOwever, I am finding exactly the opposite (ie, went to school in VT, axed by UVM........grew up 5 minutes from Yale, and axed). Is this a theme?

BTW, word on the street, at least from our program director, is that this will be a landmark year for Ortho competitiveness, so its not that rejections will likely be even more plentiful than in years past (compensation and lifestyle).

Save the US medical system: vote Republican.

I don't know if the last post was a knock on Mississippi, but their program is pretty legit. I have heard nothing but great things about it.

My rejection list is becoming long and distinguished:

UNC
UK
Arizona
Georgetown
Jacksonville
UF
Rochester

and the worst:
Greenville SC
South Alabama
Mississippi

Does anyone have any idea what's going on with places who have sent out interviews and rejections that others haven't heard from? Are we on some weird cancellation list?

Also, has anyone heard from anywhere out west? or are only places in the south and midwest sending things out yet?

Yesterday was brutal. Chalk me up for 'regrets' from AZ. Did anyone get anything besides 'regrets' from U of AZ? Doesn't look like it from the board. I'll say one thing about rejections...they sure make you appreciate your invites. Continued best luck to all.

Univ. of Vermont by email. However, they put forth the effort to non-blinded cc: every person they rejected. Very nice; now we can all see exactly who got rejected along with us.

University of Arizona
University of florida

Well that's about 50% 4 0f 8 received so far there is still hope but I was only one down before yesterday then a flurry of fuck offs, 3 in a row, ouch. Let me officially thank those programs who have been especially nice to my sweet ass: Indiana, Ochsner foundation clinic (who?), Baylor, and John Peter Smith Hospital (what ?)

Forgot to add total rejections. KUMC, Wake, Arizona, Greenville, and Tulane. I'm expecting more since others are getting offers at schools that i haven't heard from. "Oh, the humanity!"
