Our department has undergone some damage and we have been forced to move. What I can tell you is that we are alive and well. We have moved our Departmental office to Lafayette, La for now. Most of the residents will be split between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. We are starting back at work this Tuesday. Our didactics will take place with our curriculum intact. Every Friday will be didactic day in Lafayette (45 min drive from Baton Rouge). This will keep our strong program unity intact. Katrina may have ruined our homes but our resolve is strong. Our next Departmental party (Couchon-Du-Lait) will remain on October 1st. This will take place in Lafayette and all students are invited to see how we eat and drink in Louisiana.

Thanks for filling us in. I'm sure all residents across the country are wondering what happened to residents in that area and their programs. We wish you the best. I hope your training and future will not be affected by this.

Please, keep us posted.
