I applied for 2 aways in early April. I have not heard anything back yet. I called and they told me to wait until June 1. Should I be concerned? When is too late to apply for aways if I want to consider some last minute spots? Thanks for the help

I think it depends on which months you applied. July/Aug tend to get filled up by the home school's students. That's probably why you have to wait until June 1, you'd get what's left after the home students get their electives. But early April sounds early enough. I sent out an app. around the same time and got a spot in August. Every school does things differently.

For some of the bigger ones like Vandy and NW, earlier is definitely better - April should be fine. But things are always possible at the last minute. I set up a month at Big 10 school in the beginning of September for the middle of October and there was no problem.

I just applied to two NYC programs for away electives - anyone have any input about whether it is too late?

Thanks.
