Here is my situation. I really did enjoy ortho but I also really liked pathology. I went ahead and applied for pathology and went on a bunch of interviews. However now I am starting to regret i did this and wish I would have went for ortho and decided this early (but I didn't, so I have no ortho letters). Is this situation impossible now since the fact that interview season is pretty much over and its such a competitive specialty there is nothing I can do to try and switch into it?

MY stats are 259 Step 1, 265 Step 2, AOA, Honors in all 3rd year rotations except Family Med.

I figure its a lost cause but thought I would ask just to get some input. Thanks

For this year your chances are certainly over. All deadlines have passed. If you are serious about Ortho than your options would be withdraw from the match and make plan to attempt to match next year.
