Looking for first-hand knowledge from current/past residents or rotators on the HSS program. Specifically:
- operative experience - case loads, do juniors operate, double scubbing
- floorwork - are there NP/PA's to help out?
- call schedule
- rotation schedule
- housing - do they shove you in a tiny apartment or are they decent?
- do they fellows interfere with resident learning?
- how is the relationship with residents and attendings?
Any info would be great - I am in a situation where I have to choose between interviewing at HSS or my home program and all I know about HSS is that it has a great reputation.
