I matched last week, and I couldn't be happier! I heard from one of the residents above me today that I will begin my first three months of intern year on Orthopaedic Trauma. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. With that said, I want to be as prepared as possible, so I want to begin reading immediately. What are the best books you guys can recommend for the new Orthopaedic Intern? Specifically, a couple of books that can get me the best prepared before I start July 1st (ex: R&G, Campbell's are great, but won't have time to finish them before then). I've got Netter's Concise, Handbook of Fx, and Hoppenfeld's from rotations this year. Also, our PD is getting us the AAOS books. Some examples of what I'm looking for are good references for fracture management (reductions, splinting, etc.). Thanks in advance for any help and congrats to all others who matched.
