Any tips on where to stay/type of accomodation when doing a month-long rotation away from home?

Some programs will put you up, some have dedicated med student call rooms, and most you are on your own.....

Call the program up that you want to rotate at and ask if they have any housing options available.

You might also want to call the med school affiliated with the program and see if they can help you out....

Probably the best ways to get info on this is to ask about specific programs and then people can tell you where they stayed while rotating there. There aren't much in the way of generalities on this topic. I spent one month in an extended stay hotel and one month in a sublet studio apartment -- it just depends on where you are rotating.
