It seems like everyone has nothing but great things to say about wisconsin. I'm curious about how good its national reputation is with respect to fellowship/job placements across the country, or is it just well respected in the midwest/wisconsin? Also, has anyone had a bad experience there that they could comment on? Thanks!

Being an alumnus of that program I can tell you that the program has it all. It has great respect across the nation and our residents can get great fellowships if they choose. We have sent people to great trauma, peds, sports, hand, and spine fellowships in the last five years. If you can put up with a little extra snow in the winter, it is an awesome place. In addition, there have been several great new staff added since I finished in 99. We used to be a little weak on soft tissue hand, but that will change with the addition of a new hand guy who will participate in acute hand call.

The lifestyle is awesome and so is Madison.
