I actually just matched at UTMB and rotated down there last december for a fourth year elective. i was at the university of ks wichita campus and was very impressed with their program. i highly recommend doing a month there if you can. they really let me do a ton. i got to primary on a couple of cases and had a ton of operating time. call is really nice from what the residents tell me and what i saw. it is q8 and you are up most of the night your on, but with once a week that isnt bad at all. i also rotated at grand rapids, MI and took a ton more call there and was up all night every call while i was there. basically lifestyle is great. i have a good friend who is a three there and he has 2 kids and a really good marriage with a happy wife... good luck...
