He's going to be really good for their program. not a resident there but know it well. he is going to push the research more than their program is used to (pretty sure he is making a research track, at least that was the plan). Not sure how that is working out. But, he will attract more staff i'm sure. it was always a good program as far as Op experience. Great residents, and lifestyle as far as ortho goes anyway. actually have home call (obviously, summer time probably stay in house). I don't know exactly what changes have been made so far....but i know a joint surgeon is starting there soon (if not already). overall, solid program, only going to get better with Dr. Emery.
