The University of Virginia is currently seeking applicants for a one-year research fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Exceptional performance during the research year will gain special consideration in the orthopaedics match for a clinical residency position at the University of Virginia.
Previous research fellows had completed preliminary surgical internships or were seeking to transfer to orthopaedics from another subspecialty residency program. Post-graduate training or research experience is preferred but not required. The position includes full resident salary and benefits. Attendance at resident conferences and participation in the OR is also offered to each research fellow.
