I know regionalism plays a big part in this game, especially when you want to go to DC, NYC, Chicago, and LA. Does it play as big of a role outside the hot spots. Should I give up on going to VA, GA, FL, NC, SC, LA, or TX because I am not from those areas?

Can't comment on actual match but as far as applying for subI's I have met a little resistence for trying to change my local. For a west coast program you need to call for spot, I was basically interviewed, forced to defend why I wanted to be out there for a month, and not having friends or family in the area was fuel to the fire. However, it doesn't seem like many programs are all home-grown lads & ladies as at least 1 spot seems to be destined for an out-of-towner. Interested to hear if anybody on interview trail was asked about their move out of their "region." GO WINGS! :roll smile:
