Mt Sinai is an excellent program with strong academics. The attendings are extremely friendly and interesetd in teaching. The residents are close and work as a team.
I know less about St. Luke's-Rosevelt (sp?) and Lenox Hill but they are both solid programs with many private attendings, less academic.
These are all in Manhattan, there are also various other programs within the 5 boroughs of NY.
