How are all of you going to determine how many LORs to send to programs? If they ask for 3 but you have 4 letters you want to send, is the best idea just to call the program's office to check if they welcome an extra letter?

Any advice from last years applicants is welcome, and thanks for you input.

The PGY-2 I am currently working with said that he called all programs he applied to regarding this and all said they would accept another letter. Nonetheless, it may not be bad to check yourself.

Thanks, I just got the same answer from an intern in my home program. I'll probably check for myself as you suggested.
